MN Pro Paintball Grounds
22554 Texas Ave., Lakeville, MN 55044
(*please use Google maps to find the perfect directions for you.)
We Still Need Volunteers: Help recruit for us! All volunteer questions should go to Misty Harper-Anderson at Misty@charityeventsofminnesota.org
Safety: There is nothing more important to us than your safety. However, there's only so much we can control. Use caution when running the course as it's uneven terrain. Remember, this is about finish lines, not finish times. Should an issue arise, we will have amazing EMT's from Allina on bikes along the course and in the festival grounds to support you. Again, take your time, have some fun and watch your footing.
Allergies?: Please visit our Allergy Alert Guide.
Parking: Free parking opens at 7:10am at our host sponsor, Minnesota Pro Paintball at 22554 Texas Ave., Lakeville, MN 55044. To help with our traffic plan, please do not arrive before that time. (Volunteers, your call time might be much earlier...lucky you!)
Check-In: Check-In opens at 7:30am and closes at 9:00am. Everyone must be checked in by 9:00am. NOTE: We will have 130 pairs of tickets to the Twins game on Tuesday, September 23rd to give away to the first 125 adults that check-in so come early. At check-in you will get your MessFest bib ("race number") and turn in any remaining donations you've collected. You will also receive your final donation total that you can bring to the Fundraising Incentives table to see if you qualified for prizes. After you check-in you will be ready to go to the start line.
Fundraising Incentives*: If you qualify for a fundraising reward, you will be sent to the Fundraising Incentives table where you will take care of claiming your prize and get your raffle tickets (if applicable). Who's excited for their chance at winning the Polaris Youth ATV? Thank you to Otten Bros Garden Center & Landscaping for transporting the ATV for us! *Fundraising rewards are based off of the fundraising total in your individual fundraising account. If you have been fundraising in a team account and want to qualify for the fundraising incentives, please email MessFest@charityeventsofminnesota.org to see if that can be worked out.
Routes: If you are doing the 2 mile course, you must have slid down The Hippo (Start Line/Slopstacle 1) by 9:00am. If you are doing the 1 mile course, you must have slid down The Hippo (Start Line/Slopstacle 1) by 9:30am. There WILL be a wait line for The Hippo so anyone doing the 2 mile course should get in line early. (Reminder: the first 125 adults who go through check-in will receive a free pair of Twins tickets for the Tuesday, September 23rd game.) Download the route.
1 Mile? 2 Mile?: We do NOT need to know in advance what route you are doing. Download the route.
Start Line: The Start Line is also Slopstacle #1 aka The Hippo and you will go to it after you check-in to get in line. The Hippo is the world's largest inflatable water slide and you must be 42" tall to ride The Hippo. Don't like heights? Skip it. Wanna take the plunge? Get in line, put your booties (provided by us) over your shoes and get ready for the ride of your life. No sharp objects allowed. If time allows, we will open the Hippo back up for unlimited rides once everyone has gone through the start line. Those with food allergies should use caution with repeat rides as other riders may still have food remnants on their clothing/person. Thank you to Magic Bounce for their sponsorship.
Finish Line: After you complete the course you will get your finisher's dog tag and then pick up your Swag Bag, sponsored by St. Croix Cleaners. Inside your Swag Bag is your MessFest t-shirt, black trash bag for messy clothes, packaged snacks, coupons and other good stuff.
Pictures: We will have two banners for you to take pictures in front of before and after the event. It's a great way to show your pre- and post-mess look! Make sure to post on social media using the hashtags #messfest or #messwithamission

What to Bring/Wear: Wear old clothes and shoes; you will get messy! Bring a full change of clothes, shoes AND a towel. We also suggest wearing sunscreen and bug spray. Have some extra old shoes at home? Bring those too and donate them, along with your messy shoes, in to the Shoe Away Hunger bin (read more below).
Donate Your Old Shoes: After the event, donate your messy shoes to Shoe Away Hunger, a local organization that uses the donation of shoes to help feed those in need. You can also bring any unwanted shoes from home to donate. The Shoe Away Hunger bin will be found by the rinse and change station.
Costumes? Yes, please. How fun would it be if your team showed up in matching costumes? Dress up like superheroes or have matching face paint. Be creative and have fun with it! If you do decide to wear a costume, please keep in mind that no sharp objects are allowed on The Hippo (Slopstacle #1/The Start Line).
Fundraising: This event is about getting messy but it's also about raising money for The Miracles of Mitch Foundation. Please help us reach our financial goals by trying to raise at least $100 per person! You can do it...that's just 10 friends giving $10 each. Easy! Learn more about fundraising here.
Cell Phones/Cameras: While it's fun to get pictures on the course, please keep in mind that you will get messy. We are not responsible for damage done to phones or cameras should you bring them on the course. We will have professional photographers, thanks to Life Image LLC, at the event taking photos and videos that you will have access to after MessFest.

Splatmaster Demos: Perfect for kids 7 – 12 years old. Low Impact Paintball is similar to paintball but the equipment was engineered so that players of ALL ages are able to participate. The marker is spring loaded and shoots at a velocity of 110 – 150 feet per second (regular paintball markers shoot at 300 fps). This means that it doesn’t hurt to get hit by the ammo! MN Pro Paintball will be having FREE Target Shooting with Splatmaster during Mess Fest!
Like Splatmaster?: Book a future party and save $10/per person. MN Pro Paintball is offering $10 off per person. Usually these parties are $35/person, but MN Pro Paintball is offering it to to Mess Fest participants for just $25. There is a minimum of 6 players to make a group reservation and reservations must be made in advance. Splatmaster is recommended for kids 7 - 12 years old. #MessyWithPerk: We have one slopstacle that "'tis a mystery" that we've saved for our #MessyWithPerk challenge. There is still time to cast your vote to what the "mess" should be at the slopstacle. What messy ideas can you come up with that would make even Perk feel queasy?! Post your ideas on social media with the hashtag #messywithperk to cast your vote.
